One of the great advantages of our systems is that, in most cases, no building permit is required. A glass-enclosed terrace using sliding systems (without fixed joinery like traditional double-glazed windows) is considered a temporary/removable installation. However, we always recommend checking with your local council, as rules may vary slightly.
Yes. A glass-enclosed terrace with tempered glass provides an excellent barrier against wind, rain and snow. Although single glass does not insulate as well as a brick wall, our systems create a thermal buffer that maintains a much more pleasant temperature than outside. With a minimal heat source (e.g. an infrared heater), the space becomes perfectly usable even at Christmas.
No, if you choose the right system. Unlike fixed double-glazed windows, our sliding glass terrace enclosure solutions allow the walls to be fully opened on hot days. This way, in summer you enjoy full ventilation and coolness, while in winter you get airtight protection.
Safety is our priority. We exclusively use tempered glass of 8mm or 10mm thickness. It is extremely impact-resistant (hail, accidental impacts, strong wind). In the extremely rare event that it breaks, it shatters into small, blunt fragments, eliminating the risk of injury.
